With more and more people making the decision to have a swimming pool in their garden its no surprise to us at h2ofun that customers are demanding more than just a great swimming pool. Having a swimming pool that look great is all well and good but how much is the pool going to be used and increasingly how much is it going to cost! Even toady we hear more bad news from the bbc on energy prices with british gas making huge profits. With the cost of electric, gas and oil going up we are continually looking at ways to provide cost effective ways to heat your swimming pool. Using the Sun’s energy is an obvious start and solar heating systems such as our piwi and poolsolar swimming pool solar heating systems provide customers with an energy efficient way to heat their swimming pool. Also our Solar Sun Rings have proved a big hit with these sun rings generating far more heat than traditional solar covers. Heat Pumps are becoming massively popular and especially with the larger in ground swimming pool customer. The heat pumps have been mentioned in previous blogs and we are always on hand to provide advise on which type is suitable and the potential energy saving that can be made.

With regards to the wooden pools we have this year launched a Platinum package with include under water light, filter pump enclosure and a Heat Pump!! Where in the past heat pumps have been out of the range of some above ground swimming pool owners due to high cost of heat pumps and that the heat pumps were over spec’d for the size of pool we have this year introduced an eco range of swimming pool heat pumps.

So there are plenty of alternative ways to heat your pool without sleepless nights on how much your electricity or gas bill will be this summer, and with warm cost efficient water you will find that your pool gets used plenty during the summer even on the cooler greyer days.

H2ofun is opening it’s new swimming pool retail shop at Stuarts Garden Centre, North Cray Road, Sidcup, Kent.

The new swimming pool outlet will provide a full swimming pool, hot tub and maintenance service to the local community. The new outlet will be open for business from the 1st march 2008.

The official opening will be over the easter weekend when the new products for the 2008 swimming pool season will be on display. These new products will include our 2008 season range of Heat Pumps, Solar Swimming Pool Heating  systems, Swimming Pools and Spas.

What pool should you buy. It can be a hard choice to make, but if it is an Intex Pool that you want then you can not go far wrong from buying the biggest Intex Pool that you can fit in your garden.

If you look after your Intex Pool from day one you can expect years of enjoyment from it. We have some customers that have been using the same Intex Pool for many years.
