Heat Pump
Posted by steve, in HeatersAt H2ofun we are finding that heat pumps are becoming more and more popular as swimming pool owners are looking for long term, reliable and cost effective ways to heat their swimming pools. The most popular brand we have sold this year by far is the Competition Heat Pump.
The competition heat pump comes in two styles, the Competition CA Range and the Competition RA Range. Both ranges and all sizes of heat pumps have titanium heat exchanges and come with an outstanding 5 year warrenty plan.
The most popular heat pump we have sold out of the Competition Range is the competition 9kw ra. This heat pump is suitable for most small to medium size inground swimming pools with a capacity of no more than 10,000 gallons and above ground pools such as Wooden Pools with a capacity of no more than 6,000 gallons. These heaters have been very popular on above ground pools such as the Plastica Wooden Pool and the Vogue above ground pool. One of the upgrades we offer on these pools is to upgrade the swimming pool pump which on some pool packages does not have the appropriate flow rate. If the flow rate is not high enough the heater will not work. A flow rate of 1,500 gallons p/h is the minimum required.
Competition CA Range 15kw, 23kw, 30kw - Suitable for outdoor installation only. Costing half the price of other leading manufactures, the CA range offers a titanium heat exchanger, scroll compressor as standard ensuring that you receive many years of reliable service which is why this heater comes with an unbeatable 5 year warrenty plan.
Competition RA 9kw, 15kw - this heat pump can be installed indoors or outdoors. The RA model consists of the same integral parts as the CA range but has the circulation fan mounted on the side, therefore extracting and exhausting the air from the sides. The RA can only be installed indoors providing that adequate ventilation is available. Heat pumps are designed to be in an outdoor enviroment so there may be a chance you will lose a small percentage of effciency.
