H2oFun will winterise your swimming pool and close it at the end of the Season. We assume the pool is clean

• Test, treat & balance swimming pool water with your appropriate chemicals

h2oFun provides a Swimming Pool Maintenance, Swimming Pool Repair, Swimming Pool Liner Fitting Service, Hot Tub Repair & Hot Tub Maintenance from it’s Showroom in Welling, Kent. These services are offered to local customers within a 10 mile radius.

Also offered is a Swimming Pool Build service for Wooden Pools and Steel or Resin Pools. Currently there are windows for Pool Builds in Mid-September and Early October. Please hurry and book your Swimming Pool Construction as the spaces will soon be filled.

The Swimming Pool Build Service is available in Kent, Essex, Sussex, Surrey and London.

Sadly the time for closing and winterising your swimming pool is fast approaching. This is quite often a rushed and hurried affair that leads to problems and great expense at a later date when not done properly. Spending a little longer closing your swimming pool will ensure that it is ready to use again next year without the costly and time consuming job of clearing the algae or repairing a cracked pipe that froze over the winter.

For instructions and guide on closing and winterizing your swimming pool email us at rob@h2ofun.co.uk, tell us whether your pool is inground or above ground, tiled or liner and whether it has a sand filter or cartridge filter.

Below is a brief outline on which chemicals to use when winterising your pool.

Using a quality Chlorine Shock Treatment, such as our Relax Chlorine Granular Shock (Calcium Hypochlorite) , raise the chlorine level to 6ppm and then adjust the pH level to between 7.2 and 7.6 with pH Minus or pH Plus. Add a slow realease Algicide such as Relax Winterlong at a rate of 1 litre per 25 cubic metres (5,500 gallons) directly over the water inlets and leave filter running to ensure even distribution. This treatment will be sufficient to control algae for between 3-6 months.

Check your pool again in January and increase chlorine level to 6ppm
