So when is the ideal time to build a Swimming Pool? A strong reason for a Swimming Pool build in the Autumn 2008 rather than Spring 2009 is COST!

Prices for Swimming Pools have remained static for a number of years and in some cases actually gone down, what we anticipate for the 2009 season will be a relatively dramatic increase. This will be driven by three main factors

1. Manufacturing costs have risen, especially in the Far East with anticipated increases of upto 20%
2. Transportation cost, shipping and local has increased dramatically over the past few months and will factor more prominently in 2009.
3. Sterling has dropped against the Euro and the USD, suppliers increased their prices in the summer of 2008 due to the poor exchange rate which in general were not passed on by the trade. A further drop in sterling will impact prices for the 2009 season.

• Steps /roman end – what are my options
• Choosing the right type of heater – a wrong type of heater over a 5 year period can cost as much as the cost of a pool!!
• What is the option on the swimming pool liners, 20thou, 30thou colour / pattern
• Pool Safety – what are my options?
