Staycation: What To Do With The Kids At Home This School Holiday
Â
Not going abroad this summer and dont fancy the traffic queues to Devon and Cornwall, this years new catchphrase is Staycation. With petrol going through the roof and people now concerned about their carbon footprint stay at home holidays are this year more popular than ever before.
But the big question is what to do with the kids on school summer holiday?
How hard is it finding things to do with the children on the school summer holidays? Everywhere you go it costs a small fortune and most times you just do not get value for money. The obvious answer is just stay at home and do nothing, not the best thing for the kids but it certainly will be the cheapest.
One way of staying at home and keeping the kids amused during the school holidays is to buy a pool for the garden. For one initial outlay and the time spent watching them to make sure they are safe you have the cheapest form of childcare around.
All you will need is the pool and some chemicals and you have summer long entertainment for your kids. Not only are they enjoying themselves but you also know exactly where they are.
The cheapest option is a 10ft easy set pool, which comes with a pump and filter, a floating chlorine dispenser buoy (or 1kg chlorine granules) and some test strips. All this only will cost £69.98 (or £67.98), the cost of one day out to and amusement park or the zoo.
If you have more room in you garden and a larger budget we have 12ft pools starting at £65, 15ft pools at £179 for a complete pool package with covers and cleaner. We also have metal frame pools starting at only £45. These metal frame pools are more robust and will work better on slightly uneven ground.
Putting a summer pool in your garden will allow the kids to spend time at home, be outside, enjoy themselves, keep active and without you having to continually fork out for all the activities that you would normally have to be paying for all through the summer school holidays.
Look at our above ground pool page and choose the best option pool for your garden, then stop paying out for every time your children want to be amused this summer.
